Johan Matthaus Jung immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Ulster County, New York about 1710 and married twice. His grandchildren changed the surname to Young. Rufus Rennington Young (1814-1895) was of the fourth generation, and moved from New York to Iowa. Descen- dants lived in Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere.

Young, Chilhowee, Missouri. -- Cover title: Abraham Young of the Mohawk Valley. Includes Hamilton, LaDue and related families. Includes manuscript additions and corrections. Jerg Hans Jung and his family immigrated in 1710 from Germany to the Mohawk Valley of the state of New York. Abraham Young (1763-1820), direct descendant in the fourth generation, married Hannah Winne and lived on land in Kingston, New York. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Michigan, Texas and elsewhere. Includes some ancestors in Germany.
