传记

米歇尔·冈瑞的外祖父康斯坦·马丹（Constant Martin）是Clavioline的发明者（在1947年），也就是最早期的电子合成乐器。米歇尔·冈瑞的父亲做电吉他的买卖，米歇尔·冈瑞自幼即活在音乐世界。米歇尔·冈瑞后来在巴黎的Olivier de Serres学院就读，学的是应用美术。在巴黎他和友人成立“对啊对啊”（Oui-Oui）乐队，自任鼓手。1992年乐队解散，米歇尔·冈瑞随即执导一些音乐录影带，如单曲〈城市〉（La Ville）、〈小石头〉（Les Cailloux）、〈我的家〉（Ma Maison）。

冰岛籍女歌手比约克在音乐影片频道看到《城市》的音乐录影带，亟欲和米歇尔·冈瑞合作，合作出的作品计有：Human Behaviour，Army of Me，Isobel，Hyperballad，Bachelorette，Joga。

2001年在制片史派克·琼斯（Spike Jonze）的推荐下，米歇尔·冈瑞执导第一部剧情长片《还我本式》并入围当年的戛纳电影节。
